Jason was born and grew up in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia. At the age of seventeen, Jason joined the United States Army and served in Fairbanks, Alaska as an infantry soldier. After serving four years in the United State Army, Jason enrolled and graduated from Marshall University.  Jason worked as a paralegal until he was accepted at WVU College of Law in 1998.  After graduation from WVU College of Law with his law degree, Jason worked as an associate at The Duffield Law Firm. 

Jason, now a partner at Duffield, Lovejoy & Stemple, represents both corporate defendants and plaintiffs in all areas of civil litigation. Jason has litigated cases in state and/or federal courts in West Virginia, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania.  Jason is married to Treva Oxley, who is an attorney for the Social Security Administration.  Jason and Treva have three children, and the family enjoys hunting, shooting, hiking and spending time in the outdoors.
